Halloween Fun

Here are our little gaggle of party girls all dressed up and ready to go!! Our new church has a "Harvest Party" every year on Halloween night and after our visit to our next door neighbors, we headed to church for the evening

Angel Emily playing one of the carnival games set up.

Elle and Eva (Snow White and Giraffe) were so cute all evening. They walked around to all the different stations holding hands and waiting while the other played the game.

Elle playing the soccer game while Eva watched her.

Sheriff Ryan sharing the gospel message at the middle point of the event.
Eva listening to Ryan. She and Elin both shed their costumes early on in the evening, as they were so hot.I couldn't get a great picture of Elin all night as she was mostly in the bouncy castle, and the pictures I did take were very fuzzy!!
Eva showing off her prize... her brand new princess fanny pack!!!
My Emmy..feeling very beautiful that evening!

The next morning, getting into all their treats.. Fun times!

A Very Special Visit

We had 2 very special visitors to our new place  a little while ago. Ryan's parents made the long drive here and we were so very excited to finally show them our new home and church family.
Grammie arrived with her magical i-pad and the girls would hardly leave her side. She showed them all her new pictures much to their delight.

More hovering over Grammie!! Forgive the photographer's foot please!! He was doing his best and it is very rare that he takes pictures so I'm not going to complain!! Elin had also found Grammie's boots!!

Lots of games went on during the visit.
                                                 Serious games..
                     Not so serious games!!
Notice the several different cards in this game!! The 2 little ones just wanted to play something with Grampie, they would bring a handful of cards and he would make it happen!
This was the wood splitting day! Grammie was supposed to be just watching, but she soon started manning the lever to the splitter and what a team we were!!
We got all that wood cut, split and piled that day .Ryan and I couldn't believe it!
Rainbow chasing! A huge double one.

The next morning was Grammie's birthday, and she awoke to happy excited girls full of wishes and little gifts.

This was a follow Grampie and Grammie game they all made up .
Then we all got ready for an adventure car ride. Did we ever go on a big one! We found old wood roads that I wasn't sure we would be able to get back out of, but we had fun touring around and exploring the countryside anyway!
Back at home after a busy day for a fancy birthday supper.
                                                   Grammie lovins.
                                          Fancy icecream cakes....so good.
Happy Birthday Mom, we love you!

                                                                 Waiting patiently.
One more snuggle before bed.  So much fun, having family visits!!

Family Times

We have had some very fun family times exploring our new community this fall. We are really falling in love with Sussex, and enjoy living here.
Ryan snuggling with 3 of the girls on our deck.
Our very fun tire swing on one of the lovely maples  in our front yard.".Lovely" in the spring, summer and the first part of fall....
This is what our front yard looks like now-days!!
But oh the fun the girls are having "raking" the leaves and  jumping in their huge piles, scattering the leaves once again!!

We have a gorgeous covered bridge 2 houses down the road from us,that we went on a family adventure to see one evening after supper. The girls were squealing with excitement as they ran through the gloomy length of the ancient bridge to the light on the other side.

Elle,is a ray of sunshine in our family. Her gap toothed grin is always showing, and she is turning into a force to be reckoned with when she sets her little mind to something. She can clean the house just as fast as I can it seems and is very thorough at sweeping the floors, tidying , trying to help cook, whatever I need( or don't need!) her for she is anxious to do! She is the only one of the 3 oldest who doesn't have a  new best friend at our new church, but that doesn't really matter to her. She is always begging to sit with the teen girls or some other family at our church. She hardly notices that she is without a "bosom buddy" her age.
Emmy ,this little lady is never without her fashion accessories these days..hats, earrings ,rings,it is so funny to see her run up to her little room and get all"gussied" up to go out now. Oh to be 9 years old again!!

Our sweet Eva Has been going through a shy phase since we moved, but is slowly coming out of it and loves going to "Cubbies" all by herself .She loves playing with her big sisters and sometimes Elin..(when Elin is being nice). Eva still crawls into mine or Ryan's laps with her special snuggle blankie and we both love getting time with our Eva.

This little turkey........ Elin is trying to be all grown up these days . She thinks she can do everything her big sisters can. She is a climber , a scrapper ,a mommy snuggler, at times a terror on 2 legs, and always mischief waiting to happen.   At 23 months her baby days are quickly fading into the past. She is in love with baby dolls, and will quietly sit wrapping them in a blankie, and unwrapping them again. She is into a "CHEESE" face whenever we take a picture, and my intelligent camera blinks up on the screen with every photo......"squinted eyes detected"...Yup very squinted!!
Eva and Elle are becoming best friends these days and it is so fun to see.

                                           Me and my bestie!!!
                                       Doing some exploring with Daddy
Our 4 blue eyed, freckle faced (even Elin has a few!) ,blond haired little blessings who are growing up so fast. They fill our days with sunshine and we can't imagine how dull our lives would be without them!!

Elle and one of her fabulous bouquets she periodically picks for me. I was hoping there was no poison ivy in this particular one!!!
