Puppy Fun

We had so much fun with our puppy. The girls and I went to visit Mom and Dad in Wickham with my sister Jenny and her 6 girls the first of the summer . We had so much fun and Bear did too!! His first trip to the beach was not what I thought it would be with him being a Newfoundland puppy and so I thought was supposed to love the water, but he didn't, and  had fun on the sand playing with the girls!!

Bear

Near the end of June we made a weekend trip to see Grammie and Grampie Skaling. We had a great visit with them and Uncle Shawn, Auntie Ang and cousins too. I snapped this picture of Eva after church waiting for Grampie to leave. He had promised her a drive with him and so she bolted out of church after the service, grabbed her booster seat from our van and seated herself right outside the vehicle....she was NOT missing that ride with Grampie!!

On the way home from our valley trip, we made a few stops......We were looking for a particular thing and had lined up a few visits to see if we could find it. Our dog Jake had gone back to live with his former owner as her circumstances had changed and she was able to take him back . That left us missing a canine companion terribly, and we had our dreams on another Newfoundlander like our beloved Lucy, who had passed a few years ago.

Our First stop was to see a whole bunch of furry little puppies. They were too young to take home , and they had only females unspoken for(Ryan was desperately hoping for a male!!) ,but we wanted to visit them in case we wern't able to get a male either place .

All the girls had their arms full of puppy.

The next stop was to see a litter with much older puppies . They were all supposed to be female as well, with 1 male available but not on the premises. .When we got there however, there was a male there with all his sisters and we could take him home with us if we wanted.....well, we had not planned to purchase on that trip, just look and meet the parents...ect.. but here we were with an adorable bundle of fur and a big decision....

 So we took a little time to think and a 15 min. road trip to Peggy's Cove ,where the girls had never been.

         We were treated to bagpipes.

And we talked it all over.

                           And we decided......

To go back to town....get our money.......

                      and buy a Bear!!!!        Here he is Our new doggie and the furry love of our lives....Bear.

                                 We had so much fun with him on the way home.

 Lots of stops, snuggles and just sitting and watching him. Soooooo cute!!!

June

  June started off quite busy in spite of school being done with! A quick overnight visit from Grammie and Grampie Skaling

                      Lots of fun playing skip-bo!!

                      A late night  trip to Nova Scotia with Grammie and Grampie Cameron for the girls and I to pick up our new van and get a visit in with the Sante family!

                   Our girls were a little nervous of the interested visitor who was used to being hand fed treats.
