to the math in the pasture....(.Emily had been keeping one eye on Bella and the other on her school work all morning.)
When the word was out that things indeed were finally happening...we all rushed(not so quietly) to the goat shed, where poor Bella was doing the hardest work of her life....birthing her babies!!
Elin thankfully was napping, for those who know her, she has a very loud set of pipes, and shrieks liberally when she is excited ..and this was indeed a very exciting time. But an exciting time that required quiet watchfulness, not squealing and dancing as Elin is so fond of.
Eva was being so good....not sure why she thought it best to wear the lovely ball cap to such an event. The color alone would have thrown many a laboring mammal off kilter, but Bella is one of the best, and soldiered on bravely.
Finally a new life was born much to our delight!! We named this beauty boy Moses.
The girls were allowed closer as Bella was done most of her stressful work now.
Moses' sister May was born shortly after and Elin woke up to join us for the celebrations and congratulations!! Even Ryan made a quick trip home from work to meet the new arrivals! We were so proud of Bella . Those babies were getting snuggles and kisses before they were even dry and fluffy! Emily's pride and joy Pippa is due in another week or so ,so another similar post should be on its way shortly.
