So we broke our vacation up with a flying day trip to the Valley to visit the Skaling family and meet our new twin Nephews/cousins. Before we did however , we had a matter to attend to...a 50 lbs ,muddy problem. Living in the woods has its advantages,but it also tends to be a little hard for a fun loving, mud seeking puppy to stay clean and ready to visit new homes.
We found a near-by river and gave Bear his first river bath
He enjoyed the shade under Grammie's chair.
While the girls enjoyed visiting with Grampie.
Uncle Ryan loved meeting his nephews..
And have one of them fall asleep in his arms.

Back at the cabin, Grampie had filled the back of the truck with mulch for the newly planted front yard.
Emily made her first batch of raspberry jam all by herself!!

We went back to the river , this time for the girls to cool off!!

We also had a fun hotdog roast with the Santes!!

Then came the excavator driving lessons.. Ryan overseeing Emily.

Our vacation ended on a sad note. Emily's kitty had disappeared and we had to return home without her
We found out later that our cat Sierra had ended her last of nine lives close by our tent seemingly from natural causes. So now our Woodlot vacation was over and summer was rushing to an end!!!!
