Eva Turns 3

We had so much fun celebrating Eva's birthday this year.Terry, Jenny and their 5 girls arrived the night before, and so Eva woke up to her big day with 5 cousins to play with all day! Jenny had a doctors appointment that morning, so she and Terry headed to town, while all 9(!) of the girls played and giggled the day away here at our house. Ryan took them all for a big walk down our road and out on the dyke while I decorated for the party.

The 2 smallest , Elin and Kaleigh

                                                       All the girls sitting pretty!
                                               How blessed are we?

Samson (the Sante's dog) and I walked up to meet them on their return trip, and had a quick visit with our neighbor  Julia Beyers. She had lots of little cups full of water for all those thirsty girlsies, much to all their delight!!
After a feast of pizza and garlic fingers we lit the candles. Eva requested a blue butterfly cake this year, and so after a little searching online, I found a design idea that was perfect.

We had one of our many Wood Point  stand-in grandmothers , Sharon Wood come for the party too.

                                                            So Yummy!

Then came the part Eva had been waiting for all day..her presents!

                                           A very cozy  bath towel/robe .

A new puppy in a purse,
                                                dress and "pack-pack"

                                             An adorable watering can, smarties..

and new bracelets!! She went to sleep so happy that night, her little bed piled high with all her new treasures, our sweet little 3 year old!!

Western Night and Phronsie

Awana has theme nights every so often, and the girls were right into western night when the occasion came up. They were so excited to get their outfits on.We turned their room upside down looking for cowgirl outfits . We did o.k., but the girls were really wishing that we lived closer to Grammie Cameron and her amazing bottomless(or so it seems) tickle trunk with its hats, guns and cowboy boots. We even put a bandanna on the love of Emily's life, her cat Sierra for the fun of it!

The poor old fat thing wasn't that pleased with all the hoopla!

So here is Elle getting her western picture taken...but making sure that everyone looking at the picture noticed her new earrings. We had just taken out her starter ones and she picked the biggest most flamboyant ones she had to make her big girl earring début!!

I mentioned to them that hooking their thumbs into their belt loops was a cowgirl appropriate thing to do..well that brought  their inner cowgirl out in fine style!!
The next day was the day that Phronsie had her little operation..she came home a few hours later very groggy. She wouldn't stop shivering so we got her little bed set up in the sunshine streaming through the windows and she drifted in and out quite happily. There was always at least one little girl by her side snuggling her.
                                                            And kissing her..
When this one got up from her nap the fun really began..I only let it go as long as I snapped these pictures for poor Phronsie's sake..but oh it was funny to watch!  As you can see Phronsie's "Victorian" collar is upside down on her head and Elin is playing with the gauze used to tie it around the dog's neck.
Off Phronsie's head and just checking it out.

Seeing how it looked and felt..as well as lots of jabbering and giggling. Probably because there was 3 big sisters and a mommy watching and giggling too!
Back upside down on the poor dogs unresponsive head.
There was only good intentions as you can see. Her little one year old kisses left no doubt about that! We did have to put Phronsie in her kennel at that point as all Elin wanted to do was snuggle and play nurse!

Emily's Win,and Spring is here!

Emily had patiently been waiting for this day to come for a awhile now....the Awana Grand Prix. This was her first year in Awana, and we had never seen a Grand Prix before. Emmy brought home the car kit, and Ryan helped her assemble it. She painted it up and had it all ready to go for the big race.

Here it is in the first lane..all set to race.
Emily anxiously hanging out track side. Her little pink wonder didn't win in the design department, but to our surprise it was consistent in coming in first or second.
Here she is in the red..in the top 4!!
Getting her car set up for the final four race off.
Well she got third place(or so it seemed) until the leader noticed that it was actually a 2 way tie for second. Emily was ecstatic to have placed third and loved her little trophy. When the tie was noticed, poor Em was nearly in tears to have to give her trophy back.
Back to the track for the final race.
                                                         Winning second place! Crazy girl!

We have had some downright beautiful days here in windy Wood Point. The nicest place to be at times is out on the back deck out of the wind and in the sunshine. We bring a big quilt out for the girls to sit on and they have so much fun playing together on it.
Elin keeping an eye on the goats in their pasture.
                                                            My Eva
This Picture I took for my Cameron family especially. My mom has elbow joints that are a" little "double jointed, and she has passed it on to, I think, all of us kids...well I couldn't help but snap this picture of Elle casually leaning on her arm . Looks almost painful!!
After a long day of playing, poor Eva fell asleep at the table.. so cute!
Here are my 2 biggest girls . They have completely fallen in love with hanging out the laundry! It is so cute to see them helping each other.
They are so proud of themselves when they are done and see all the clothes merrily blowing in the breeze.
Elle had to draw a picture of Heaven for her Awana book. This is what she drew. If you know Elle. She loves to pick any kind of flowers and give them to people. I get bouquets every day almost . Sometimes they are the ugliest wilted flowers she has scrounged up from the ditch, but she always hands them to me with a huge smile. Ryan and I thought it spoke volumes of her little heart when she drew this picture of what she thought Heaven would be like . It is her picking a flower for Jesus.  I love the faith of  tiny hearts.
