Emily had patiently been waiting for this day to come for a awhile now....the Awana Grand Prix. This was her first year in Awana, and we had never seen a Grand Prix before. Emmy brought home the car kit, and Ryan helped her assemble it. She painted it up and had it all ready to go for the big race.
Emily anxiously hanging out track side. Her little pink wonder didn't win in the design department, but to our surprise it was consistent in coming in first or second.
Here she is in the red..in the top 4!!
Getting her car set up for the final four race off.
Well she got third place(or so it seemed) until the leader noticed that it was actually a 2 way tie for second. Emily was ecstatic to have placed third and loved her little trophy. When the tie was noticed, poor Em was nearly in tears to have to give her trophy back.
Back to the track for the final race.
Winning second place! Crazy girl!
We have had some downright beautiful days here in windy Wood Point. The nicest place to be at times is out on the back deck out of the wind and in the sunshine. We bring a big quilt out for the girls to sit on and they have so much fun playing together on it.
Elin keeping an eye on the goats in their pasture.
My Eva
This Picture I took for my Cameron family especially. My mom has elbow joints that are a" little "double jointed, and she has passed it on to, I think, all of us kids...well I couldn't help but snap this picture of Elle casually leaning on her arm . Looks almost painful!!
After a long day of playing, poor Eva fell asleep at the table.. so cute!
Here are my 2 biggest girls . They have completely fallen in love with hanging out the laundry! It is so cute to see them helping each other.
They are so proud of themselves when they are done and see all the clothes merrily blowing in the breeze.
Elle had to draw a picture of Heaven for her Awana book. This is what she drew. If you know Elle. She loves to pick any kind of flowers and give them to people. I get bouquets every day almost . Sometimes they are the ugliest wilted flowers she has scrounged up from the ditch, but she always hands them to me with a huge smile. Ryan and I thought it spoke volumes of her little heart when she drew this picture of what she thought Heaven would be like . It is her picking a flower for Jesus. I love the faith of tiny hearts.
